With backgrounds ranging from logistics and production to software, systems, and QHSE, our new colleagues bring valuable experience, fresh perspectives, and new skills to the team.
Meet the new team members
Mirjana Daniella Bendiksen – Logistic (apprentice)
Mirjana has joined as a logistics apprentice. She will contribute to optimizing our logistics processes and ensuring smooth product flow.
She is a certified healthcare worker and has previously worked in nursing homes and hospitals.
In her spare time she enjoys photography and learning new things. She also likes to unwind with a good book, particularly books filled with facts and interesting knowledge.
Elisabeth Tjåland – Technician
Eilsabeth has joined Ixys as a technician and will be a part of our production team.
She previously worked as an industrial mechanic, but in recent years she has held more administrative roles, mainly focusing on quality assurance and documentation. For the past nine years, Elisabeth has worked at Tesla, where she held various roles and responsibilities within mobile service operations, reporting, and analysis.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. They particularly enjoy going on bike rides and cooking good food together.
Alice Asbjørnsen – QHSE Manager
Alice is already a familiar face at Ixys. During her time at Envirex Group, she worked in a support role as QHSE Manager for Ixys. Since August this year, Alice has joined Ixys as a full-time employee.
When she´s not at work, Alice enjoys practicing the harmonica. Last year, she took her passion for the instrument to the next level by participating in the World Harmonica Championship. She also enjoys fishing and spending time at her cabin.
Alfred Skårvik Norberg – Technician (apprentice)
Alfred has joined Ixys as an apprentice technician and is part of our production team. He comes from Andøy VGS and Andøya Space Education.
Alfred´s journey to Ixys began with the GHOST project, where he noticed the Ixys logo on the CubeSat, leading to his apprenticeship with us.
In his spare time Alfred enjoys gaming – with a touch of space, naturally!
Aslak Aarsland – System Engineer
Aslak has joined Ixys as a System Engineer and will be a part of our system team. He will ensure that our deliveries proceed as planned and that our customers receive the solutions and support they need.
With more than ten years of experience as an electrician and recently completed education in automation from the Technical College in Stavanger, he brings a solid technical background and practical expertise to the team.
In his free time, he runs a guitar workshop and has been a hobby musician for more than 20 years.
Kristian Årsvold – Senior Software Engineer
Kristian has joined Ixys as a Software Engineer and is part of our software team. He holds a trade certificate in automation and has a background from the oil and gas industry.
At Ixys, Kristian will focus on the SWIFT project and continue developing VJU Studio to meet our customer needs.
When not at work, he is busy following up on his daughters’ activities and enjoys a couple of workouts each week.
Årstein Taksdal – System Technician
Årstein has joined our system department as a System Technician. He is holding a trade certificate in electrical and automation disciplines.
At Ixys, he will be responsible for testing and documenting our products and solutions, helping ensure quality throughout the delivery process.
Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, training at Bryne Karate Club and he is also active in the Home Guard.
Ready for what´s ahead
With seven new team members on board, we are prepared for the upcoming challenges and opportunities.
We look forward to continuing to grow and delivering real-time remote control solutions and subsea components to new and excisting customers and partners.
