New firmware for Remote IO 1018

New firmware for Remote IO 1810

We have released a new firmware version v100 for our Remote IO 1810. This update is a complete rebuild of the existing firmware, now based on the same framework we use on most other PCBs. This enables us to share more code between products and provides a more robust and future-proof platform.

What’s new?

To clearly mark the transition from the old generation, we have bumped the version number to v100. We don’t plan any further updates to the previous firmware series. Importantly, v100 retains the same Modbus register interface as before, ensuring full backwards compability.

Key improvements:

• New web interface
• All settings available in the web interface
• Ability to control outputs and show live inputs in web interface
• Same Modbus register interface as the current firmware
• Support for customer updaters to make future upgrades easier
• Based on Zephyr RTOS

Updating from v23 or earlier?

If you are updating from version 23 or below, a conversion is required before upgrading. You will find full instructions in this document.

This release marks a major step forward in delivering reliable, flexible IO solutions that are easier to maintain, upgrade, and operate – for both new and existing users.
