The Gaselle Award is given to businesses that demonstrate steady growth over several years and maintain positive operating results. Only a small number of Norwegian companies achieve this distinction, and even fewer manage to retain the title year after year.

Criteria for Gaselle companies
To qualify as a Gaselle company, a business must:
- Submit approved financial statements
- At least doubled turnover over three years.
- Turnover of over one million kroner in the first year.
- Minimum five million NOK in revenue in the fourth year
- Maintain a positive total operating result
- Avoid declining turnover
- Be a limited liability company
