The system can combine up to eight different physical links simultaneously to operate in either capacity mode or stability mode where both of these apply special algorithms to enhance the reliability
The stability mode is duplicating traffic over multiple links to reduce the jitter (latency instability) while the capacity mode spreads the data over multiple links to reduce the load for each individual link in capacity constrained environments.
Dynamic operation

With multiple links it is possible to have a combination of these modes (both duplication and load sharing), and it is also possible to dynamically switch between modes while transferring data without interruption.
Reacta is designed to be an active part of the control system and to continuously communicate with the different components with feedback related to the expected capacity so that the entire control system is able to dynamically adjust its datarate to the current conditions. This way it is possible to avoid single components that causes the entire control system to lose connection due to overload even in harsh conditions.

It is field proven that the reliability while using Reacta is significantly improved for both video and critical communication like safety systems (SIL or MD) on mobile equipment where conditions change rapidly and it is proven that spreading the traffic across multiple carriers can improve the experience in handovers between cell stations.
To gain the most of Reacta it is recommended to consult with a qualified engineer at Ixys to verify the architecture and requirements of the control system to identify possible additional gains by employing Reacta as an active part of the control system.
